Beau Bear Christening Celebration

This was a very special celebration for me, my youngest daughters Christening day.  Picking the theme for this celebration was a no brainer as the 'Beau Bear' range that I have made and loved for a number of other Christening celebrations, I finally would be able to use for our own very special day!

For the celebration I was lucky enough to be able to find the most amazing room at Bedes World Museum, a large, light room and very much a blank canvas, perfect for the simple pink and white decor I was planning.
The staff at Bedes World were wonderful in terms of allowing us access to the room in preparation of the day and actually on the day their help and support was invaluable and greatly appreciated!

The beautiful arches in the room were perfect for displaying themed posters, bunting and large prints of favourite photographs of my daughter.

As the room tended to be used for meetings and conferences I wanted to ensure that the tables and chairs looked part of my celebration as opposed to 'meeting room furniture'.  The simple chair labels looked so pretty on the day and were such an inexpensive way of blending the chairs into the Christening theme.

The tables were kept very simple with white tablecloths, pink spot runner and pink and white roses.  I also created a place setting for each guest.

The one element of this celebration which I found very daunting was 'the buffet'.  We decided to take charge of the catering ourselves and with a large guest list I was so worried that it would be difficult to make the food tables look pretty with the amount of food required to be displayed on them!

As a number of children were attending the Christening I set up an art area to keep them entertained at the back of the room using white IKEA Lack tables and white stools.  I set out wooden teddy bear shapes to decorate, Beau Bear colouring sheets, badge making kits, teddy bear and glitter stickers, pens, crayons and plain paper.  I also provided Beau Bear aprons to protect the pretty party clothes!

A wonderful face painter 'Hullabaloo' was also on hand!  Indulging both the adults as well as the little ones to very pretty flowers and butterflies!
And absolutely beautiful photographs of our entire day captured by  Punch Photography

A favour cart was also set up for guests with teddy bears and chocolate box favours.

We enjoyed a wonderful celebration, truly a day to remember :)
